The Restitution by MaryLu Tyndall

Ship's Log 02.10.2013

Ahoy Mateys!

Me next writings be about me Cap'n Tyndall's novel 'The Restitution'.

***************

Here be the description from Cap'n Tyndall's website:

Lady Isabel Ashton gave birth to her illegitimate son, Frederick, the product of a pirate's violent attack. Spurned by family and society, Isabel clings to the hope of marrying a nobleman and returning to her privileged social class, when her baby is kidnapped.

Captain Kent Carlton, determined to win the heart and forgiveness of the woman whose purity he stole, searches every port for Isabel. What he finds is Richard Sawkins, a nobleman who informs him of Frederick's existence and kidnapping and the whereabouts of Isabel.

Will Kent forsake all his treasure, power, and dreams of becoming the Admiral of the Brethren of the Coast in order to unite Isabel and his son? And will Isabel finally realize that title and weatlh are meaningless when compared to the riches in Christ? Can she allow her heart to love a penniless pirate?

My Review:

This novel was amazing! The only problem I had with it, is that it was the last in the trilogy. I wanted it to keep going! I never wanted the adventure to end. MaryLu never disappoints when it comes to being able to pull you into her stories. I felt everything Isabel felt, it was like I was right there, trying to help her find her son. These novels have it all: God's power revealed, adventure, romance, intrigue, history........you will find yourself being swept away again and again. Be prepared to read these more than once!

This is only one series by MaryLu...the good news is that she has written more wonderful novels that will captivate your imagination and keep you coming back for more. Her newest release comes out March 1st, 'Forsaken Dreams'. It would make a wonderful Valentine's Day gift for that special reader in your life.

    1. This was the first series I read by the Cap'n. The first book I read by her was The Falcon and the Sparrow and it is one of my favorites, if not my favorite.

    1. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could find a way to bring back all of your past characters into one book......there could be dream scenes or time travel involved? I think it would be cool. :)

  3. Awesome review, Debbie. I loved this series. Like you, I didn't want it to end, and I'm hoping that someday MaryLu will write a few more stories to follow the first three. Maybe a combination of the old cast and a few new characters to spice it up. :)
