How Important Is Prayer?

Ship's Log 02.07.2013

Do you like to pray for others? Is it a big part of your ministry, your calling? If so, I encourage you to join a team of wonderful volunteers. The OurPrayer community is a place where you can make a difference for God, through prayer.

OurPrayer

About OurPrayer

OurPrayer is a Christ-centered ministry that embraces people of all faiths and all ages from all over the world.  We believe in the power of prayer, which lifts the problems of our daily lives, our families and our communities directly to God.
We follow the path pioneered by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale that honors the essence of the gospel, and the values that spring from that message, to the broadest possible audience in a way that will have maximum, life-changing impact.
For the majority of those we reach, committed Christians who look first to God, we serve to reinforce their faith and to strengthen it.  Through prayer and devotion, we inspire people and show them how to live their faith and share it with others.
OurPrayer is a service of Guideposts. Guideposts is the spiritual ally that helps people connect faith-filled values with their daily lives.
"Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer, and listen to the cry of my supplication." Psalm 86:6  (AMP)

 **************
I am a personal prayer response volunteer, which means I type prayers in response to requests sent in...my prayer is emailed to the requester.. It is a very rewarding experience.. And I do it in the comfort of my own home, at my own pace..For me, prayer is number one, so this is perfect for me.. Is it perfect for you? Go check out the OurPrayer site and find out. If anything, just look around the site to see what they have to offer. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain.
I thank you for reading this blog.....God bless

    1. I really love the OurPrayer group, it allows me to use one of the gifts that God has given me, praying for others. And since I am a bit shy when it comes to praying out loud, being able to pray by sending prayers to people helps me to do it. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs !
