Ahoy Mateys! In honor of Easter/Resurrection Day, the comin' of Spring

RESURRECTION DAY
5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6 "Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.' "
(Mark 16:5-7 ).

"Men of Galilee," they said. "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11).
Jesus will come again to take his children home to be with him forever! I cannot wait for His return!
SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
Even though it has felt like Spring here in California since late January, I am sure that some of you out there are just now feeling Spring's effects. Enjoy the beauty that the Lord has given to your area of this world. And do not forget to thank Him daily for all that you have.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about Easter is that Christ arose! I love the music and all the joyful colors. Spring is just wonderful - the smells, the birds, the water running as the snow melts and the abundant sunshine!

DeleteWishing you the Happiest of Birthdays! My favorite thing about Easter & Spring is Jesus' resurrection & the renewal of life. Flowers, baby critters & the start of a new season that shows all of God's creation in it's finest :) The boxes are lovely!

Happy EARLY Birthday! :) My favorite thing about Easter is knowing that my Savior, Who took my sins upon Himself so that I can live, is alive and well and by my side every minute of the day! And my favorite thing about spring is coming off of a LONG COLD winter and enjoying the warm temps (like we had today), the beautiful new flowers and the grass turning green!

ReplyDeleteI love Easter sunrise services, so touching - however, the thing I'm most grateful for at Easter is my salvation, which was obtained through His sacrifice, death on the cross, and resurrection. The beautiful spring flowers always give me a lift and bring joy. Happy early birthday!!
