SONday Devotion
Ahoy Mateys! Today's devotion is from Eileen Rife's new Devotional BREATHE DEEPLY GOD'S GRACE...I wish to share with ye a devotion from this book that truly spoke to me at a time when I needed it...I pray that it blesses ye!
Present in the Circumstances
By Eileen Rife
But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21).
God's ways are not your ways, child of His heart. You may not presently understand your circumstances. They might be mysterious to you. You may even be tempted to fall under the weight of your burden.
But the great I AM is present in the circumstances. God is here, working through each detail to bring glory to Himself and to orchestrate good for you, just as He did for Joseph. Since you love the LORD, He will cause all these adversities, distresses, sorrows, persecutions, and hardships to work together for a grand purpose.
Others will see and rejoice. Some will see and be saved. Still others will see and scoff. But you will see and fall deeper in love with God. If you persist in following Him.
What you see as bad now, God will turn around to prosper you and give you a glorious future.
Father, I'm confused by everything that's going on. My world seems to be spinning out of control. I don't know if I can go on. But thank You for the reminder that You are working every detail out for a good purpose. Help me stand strong in the light of Your grace, showing others around me that You live!
Eileen has written this wonderful devotional that truly touches my heart each morning. She begins each passage with a verse and ends it with a prayer. If you wish to purchase her book, you can find it HERE.
Have a blessed SONday, Mateys!!!!
